Maya Lončar o koncert v okviru Poletne šole kitare 2014 v Karlovcu:

I have been going to the summer guitar school in Karlovac for the past 6 years. I have always enjoyed the performances at the festival and this year, the Slovenian Guitar Quartet has definitely become my favorite performance ever. You can feel that not only are they successful because they are well rehearsed, but also because they are truly a team, and they flow with each other. I could feel this especially when they performed my father’s piece Fantasy Journey. That piece was something I had my father put together for me and I have to say that the Slovenian Guitar quartet played that piece exactly the way it’s meant to be played. I would not change a single dynamic they did.

I really liked the fact that on one piece they switched to 19th century guitars which sounded very different from the modern guitars. But the best part was that they had very entertaining interactions with each other during the whole concert and especially in the French Potpourri by Roland Dyens. Their performance was a complete show and I very much hope to hear them perform again next year.
